Like being hit by a wrecking ball, the boy's heart broke at his mother's face. She looked down with such cold disgust and disdain for her own son. A snarl like sound escaped her shiny red lips and her eyes narrowed. For a moment it was just silence...nothing but a stare down. Blue eyes against turquoise. I hate everything about you. Why do I love you? The young boy thought, small and innocent. Why do you hate me? Questions never answered, he knew in his heart.
"Why did I have to be stuck with a freak like you?" She said with an angry sigh, closing her mesmerizing eyes.
A choking sound came from her son, and he looked down at the floor, eyes searching. "Why can't you be more like your brother? ....Oh well. You can't change some things." She studied her shiny, perfect nails and flipped her long hair. The boy didn't know if it was soft or not....he'd never been permitted to touch it before. It sure was shiny, though.
"I'm sick of listening to your crap. Books this, books that. Man up and be normal. Get a life, get some friends." She opened her eyes. "Though I suppose it's impossible...you are pretty unappealing to look at."

Holding back tears, the boy's eyes widened immensely. It hurt, it was so painful....it was like someone was stabbing him in the heart. Merciless. "Well?!" She exclaimed, hitting the back of his head. "Can't you talk?!"

"Y-Yes..." He whispered, raising his head to face his mother. How could a mother ever treat their child this way?
"Say something that isn't totally boring to me, then." Replied his mother, putting her hands on his hips and looking uninterested.

The child looked around nervously for a moment and then asked the question he'd been wondering. "Where's dad?"

A visible shock went through his mom's body. Her perfectly composed look vanished instantly and a rare moment of weakness showed through. The boy reached out with his hand, not thinking...hoping to comfort. As soon as her eyes flashed over to his hand, she smacked it away cruelly and screamed furiously. "SHUT UP! Shut up and get out!"  Taking a threatening step forward, she raised her arm at her son, who looked around in confusion.

"Wh-"
"Get out! Get out of my sight before I throw you out the window!"

Quickly the light blue haired boy ran from the kitchen, and scrambled up the shiny marble stairs. Quickly the scuttled into his room and quietly closed the door.
So broken....so lost. The boy slowly managed to drag his feet to the bookcase beside his bed and sat down on the floor. He slowly pulled a large grey book out of the shelf. Opening the cover, he began to read, not a sound coming from his lips.
But of course, the door opened. He froze, ready to see his mom, but it was only his brother...Which actually could be potentially worse.

"So, whaddya do to piss mom off now, Ienzo?"

The boy closed his eyes and looked away.

"Oh c'mon. You can tell me. Maybe I can tell ya what she got so mad"

Giving in, Ienzo looked up and crossed his legs. "I...well I asked where dad went...."

For a moment Ienzo's brother was silent. Then he rubbed the back of his neck. "Well gee, little guy didn't anyone tell you?! No? You're such a loser! Dad left us."

The silvery blue haired young man sat quietly and thought about the words. Dad? His father had been such a kind man...smart and reserved, Ienzo always wondered what he saw in his mother. Why had he left? Why didn't he take me with him..?

"He didn't take you. He must've not cared..." His older brother shrugged and kicked his foot lightly. "Gonna cry?"

Ienzo shook his head slowly. "No."

---

The moon shone calm and clear in the sky, so different from Ienzo's mind. It was a massive torrent of confusion and disorientation. Hundreds of whys, thousands of whats and ifs. Sitting on his small grey sheeted bed, the boy silently stared at the sky. It was beautiful...but clouds were forming in the Distance. The clouds of Radiant Garden are the saddest ones. He thought, slowly rising to his feet. Because they are connected to each person's heart. The boy walked quietly over to his desk and left a small notebook. And the hearts are sad. Packing his things, the light silver-blue haired child opened his door and creeped down the stairs. That's why- Flinging the door open, Ienzo stepped out. -They rain.
His hair was instantly plastered to his head, and a chill went through his body. Very cold indeed. Dragging his feet along the stone sidewalk of the street, Ienzo closed his eyes. The rain ran down his cheeks...looking like tears. It was best not to think about the past but...so impossible as well. Memories of his dad, when things had been just alittle happier. He'd been so considerate...always asking Ienzo what HE wanted for once. He did what he wanted, unlike his mother. She just didn't care...plain and simple. "Now, here's the trick Ienzo. If you ever see a girl you like, don't be shy. Be as brave as a lion. Walk up to her and talk. And when you're making friends....be yourself! No one likes a fake."
"B-But daddy...? Mommy said do whatever it takes to make people like you..."
"Oh boy. I'll give you a piece of advice, son. People don't like illusions. It tricks them, and people don't like it. If you are strait forward and don't sneak around, others will see you as trustworthy. Promise not to do that, okay, Ienzo?"
...."Okay d-daddy..."

---
The boy rubbed his tired and wet eyes. Was it from the rain? Or was it his own tears? The boy couldn't even figure it out. It had been awhile since he'd started walking now...was it early morning? The clouds were so thick...he could barely keep his droopy eyelids open. The city had dwindled down to a pretty much abandoned set of houses...where could he go?  His blurry vision settled on a small, modest shack, with a large fence and gate. As his black shoes shuffled forward, Ienzo stumbled once. He hadn't realized how hungry he was, either. His mom hadn't fed him in the past day or two..he'd managed to sneak a few glasses of water and a granola bar or two but..that was it. Staggering forward, the boy pushed open the gate and looked around. Immediately, he noticed a swingset in the corner. The boy had never owned one of his own, and even though it was rusted and old, he wanted to sit on it. Quickly he sat down on the seat and his head fell. What am I doing? This was an illogical thing to do....I'll die of starvation or get abducted or something like that.... His eyes were glazed over now, as he stared at the dusty ground. Despair overtook his heart...he just was at a loss.

A sound woke him from his thoughts. The door to the shack came open. An absolutely huge man stepped out, his blue eyes surprised to see a young child sitting on the old swing set. He stood silent for a split second and then spoke in his deep voice. "I'm Aeleus."

Ienzo stared him down a moment and then opened his mouth. "I'm Ienzo."
I've wanted to write this for quite some time. It goes along with my Aeleus one. :meow:
